Depop fees 2026: the 0% platform — and the fee that remains

Since July 2024, US sellers on Depop pay no selling fee at all. What’s left is the payment-processing charge on each transaction — small enough that Depop is, on fees alone, the cheapest of the six platforms to sell on. Here is exactly what still comes out of your sale.

The 2026 US fee structure

FeeAmountNotes
Selling fee (US)0%Removed July 2024 for US sellers
Payment processing≈3.3% + $0.45On the transaction total — item price plus the shipping you charge
Boosted listings (optional)Per-sale fee on boosted items onlyApplies only if you turn Boost on; check the app for the current boosted rate

Processing percentages can vary slightly by payment method. Outside the US the picture differs — UK sellers, for example, still pay a selling fee — so this guide and The Sold Ledger’s default table are US-scoped.

Worked examples

A $50 sale

Transaction total$50.00
Selling fee (0%)$0.00
Processing (3.3% + $0.45)−$2.10
You receive$47.90

A $200 sale

Transaction total$200.00
Selling fee (0%)$0.00
Processing (3.3% + $0.45)−$7.05
You receive$192.95

Before your item cost. On fees alone, a $50 Depop sale keeps about $5 more than the same sale on eBay’s most-categories rate — which is exactly the comparison a per-platform profit view exists to make.

Why this matters for your books

Depop’s trap is the opposite of Mercari’s: old trackers still subtract a 10% selling fee that no longer exists, making Depop look worse than it is and hiding your best-margin platform. The Sold Ledger’s Depop row is 0% + processing, dated — and editable the day Depop changes its mind. The same table ships in the file, stamped with its verification date.
